Mosa3ed vs the WhatsApp Business API — what differs for small businesses
The WhatsApp Business API is Meta's official channel: it needs an approved provider, approval and conversation fees, and does not reply to customers on its own. Mosa3ed is not the official API or a Meta partner: it runs on your regular number via an 8-digit code and replies and books. Here is when you need the API and when your number is enough.
What is the WhatsApp Business API?
It is Meta's official channel that lets businesses send and receive messages programmatically through an approved provider. On its own it does not reply to customers or understand their questions — you need to build or buy an intelligence layer on top, and it requires Meta approval and conversation fees.
Is Mosa3ed a Meta partner or on the official API?
No. Mosa3ed is not a Meta partner or an approved WhatsApp Business API provider, and it does not use the official API. It runs on your business's own WhatsApp number as a linked device, connected with an 8-digit code — no Meta approval and no per-conversation fees.
When do you need the official API?
If you message customers who have not contacted you (notifications and campaigns), handle thousands of conversations a day with a full support team, need deep CRM integration, or want the green tick — the official API through an approved provider is the right choice.
When is a regular number plus an AI assistant enough?
A clinic, salon, restaurant, law office or shop: most of their messages come from customers asking and booking. A regular WhatsApp number with Mosa3ed covers that: text and voice replies, in-chat booking and customer details, with no extra channel fees.
Ban risk: bulk sending vs replying to people who message you
Numbers mostly get banned for bulk sending and messaging people who don't know them. Mosa3ed never sends bulk messages or starts chats with strangers; it only replies to customers who messaged you, and stops when asked. That does not make it "safer than the API" — it means the number is used the way its owner normally uses it.
