Booking appointments in Hijri dates on WhatsApp — how the assistant handles it

Your customers write "15 Ramadan" instead of a Gregorian date. How Mosa3ed turns that into an actual booked slot with no ambiguity.

Why Hijri dates trip up ordinary systems

Most booking systems are built around the Gregorian calendar only. Saudi customers often think and write in Hijri ("after Ramadan", "the start of Shawwal"), and simple booking systems either ignore this or expect the customer to convert it themselves — losing bookings.

How Mosa3ed handles it

The assistant understands the Hijri date in the customer's message, converts it accurately to Gregorian (using the official Umm al-Qura calendar), and confirms with the customer first if it is not fully certain. After booking, it states the appointment in both calendars — "Sunday 2 Muharram 1448H, corresponding to 17 May."

Ramadan and working hours

You can enable "Ramadan hours" in your Business Profile, and the assistant reminds the customer that hours differ during the holy month.

Why this builds trust

A customer who sees the Hijri date rendered correctly trusts that the assistant understands their context — not just running a flat machine translation.
